‘Train a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not turn from it.’

Proverbs 22:6

Our Young People

We consider our children and young people
to be a crucial part of our Church life
and are delighted to have a currently thriving group of primary school youngsters.
For the pre-schoolers
LITTLE SPARKS - 0 -4 years
(meet on a Monday 09.30 in St Elizabeth's Church)
We have a young people's group:
IGNITE - ages 10/11 - 14 years
(meet on a Thursday evening 18.30 in St Catherine's Church basement)
We also have a teens group:
CYFA - ages 14 years upwards
(meet on a Thursday evening 20.00 in St Elizabeth's Church)
Under 3's are welcome to stay with their parents in church
- we have a children's area with little chairs, beanbags and toys.
We all meet together in Church at 10 am to begin the service
and the youngsters leave with their leaders
after the first or second song.
We are currently in the process of working towards and applying for
the 'Child Friendly Church' Award.
We are always looking for more volunteers to help with our groups
- those with a heart for helping our children and young people
to grow in their Christian life and faith.
If you are interested in finding out more, please speak to
the minister on duty or one of the Wardens.
We have an active Child Protection Policy in place
All leaders and helpers wishing to become involved with any young people groups
will require references and CRB checks before taking any responsibility.
